Hotham Valley operated C1702 ran to Geraldton, 430km north of Perth, on 1/9/00. It then ran to Mullewa on 2/9/00. The train is pictured (left) shortly before departure at Geraldton Port. Passenger trains are very rare here, generally only once a year. The photo right shows the C class and South African coaches, at Mullewa. The object seen at the front of the locomotive is the original water column. The yard on the left had a complex network of tracks until about 12 months ago. Westrail hates having any extra track in it's yards!!!
